Additional Comments:
This pizza is like a 3 day ketamine bender, there are some huge ups and huge downs. Let’s start with the positives: This pizza fulfills two criteria that while are not necessary for a great pizza are ones that i personally look for, density and flavor intensity. This was a heavy pie, the cheese was thick, the mushrooms even thicker. The sausages were big and juicy and the peps were crispy and flavorful. The olives were absolutely delicious and the sauce was well balanced. I’m so sick and tired of pizzas that are afraid to be a little adventurous in how extreme to the palette they are so this is a breath of fresh air in that regard. Now onto the negatives: i ran into a HUGE problem with the structural integrity of this pizza. The cheese simply would not stay on the slice. i was finding myself stacking the fallen off cheese back onto the slice and it ended up being almost taller than it was wide, which is not really what i’m looking for in a non-deep dish pizza. We also need to address the crust. Jesus christ man, get this crust some viagra or something, it’s depressing how soggy and flabby this crust was. The pizza ultimately has its pros and its cons and while it was quite tasty the drawbacks were a little too substantial to ignore leaving it with a decent overall score.
